Marisa Marchetta Donovan

Marisa has more than 20 years' catering and cooking experience from a variety of cafes, restaurants and food businesses in both Sydney and Dublin.

Known for her unique ability to turn a handful of basic ingredients into a culinary masterpiece, Marisa is incredibly passionate about her craft and has been servicing clients as a solo caterer for the past 10 years.

Marisa continually experiments with new flavours and textures, borrowing from her Italian roots and multicultural influences. Her food and culinary talents are the constant talk of those who have had the pleasure of taste testing!

Marisa's professionalism and dedication to food preparation and presentation has turned Laughing Zoo into the successful catering business it is today.

Adelina learnt her craft the old fashioned way - via home baking lessons with her mother Carmela, known in her living years as the 'Biscuit Queen' of Ayr, North Queensland!

Famous for her chocolate shortbread 'S' Biscuits (pictured left), Nonna Carmela left behind a baking legacy that to this day makes grown men and women weep with joy.

Adelina has spent a life time embracing her mother's baking secrets, continuously honing her craft with a dash of experimentation along the way, to create the most delectable Anglo-Italian biscuits, cakes and pastries.

She is thrilled to be able to pass on her culinary secrets, and particularly enjoys the baking lessons where she's now the boss!
